Lifelong Learning: “Digital Transformation”

Cyber and digitization are also often referred to as two sides of the same coin.

As a “think ahead” and “perspective developer”, the Supervisory Board must deal with modern issues, especially if they have the potential to influence the opportunities and risks for the future of the company in the long term.

The topic of digitization is one such topic that the Supervisory Board has achieved in its work. Here it is the “digital transformation” that shows the Supervisory Board how it questions the divisions and structures of its company with regard to their future viability and internationality. Of course, this also includes the topic of artificial intelligence, since it has become clear that – sooner or later – every (!) company will become leaner and faster.

As part of its monitoring function, the Supervisory Board as a body must discuss and evaluate the opportunities and risks arising from the topic of “digital transformation”. Even more than with the’basic knowledge of business management’, the sentence applies in this special topic that the more basic digital transformation knowledge is available in the committee, the better the cooperation with the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board works, because everyone meets on an equal footing and speaks the same language.

The “Digital Transformation for the Supervisory Board” training program was developed in cooperation with SAP SE – especially for Supervisory Board committees. This training programme consists of three modules:

  1. E-Learning: First of all, you can familiarise yourself with the subject at your leisure on your PC or tablet – wherever you want. A digital expert from SAP SE will introduce you to the subject online in several small video sequences and explain everything supervisory boards know about’digital transformation’ and what they need to look out for in their monitoring tasks.
  2. Q&A Session: The digital expert comes to one of your panel sessions for 2-3 hours. There you can ask any questions you may have during the online course. The expert will give you detailed answers so that you can confidently deal with the topic of’digital transformation’ at the end of the session.
  3. Workshop: Since knowledge arouses curiosity, we offer to support you in the organization and execution of a company-specific’digital transformation’ workshop in your company. There you will analyse and discuss the topics relevant to your company among yourself and with the Executive Board.
